Joan Collins

 Joan Collins, an English author and actress who has a net that exceeds $20 million. Her character in the role of Alexis Colby in the soap show "Dynasty" (1981-1989) is the most famous role. Joan was in 195 of the show's 220 episodes.Joan Henrietta Collins was born May 23 1933 in London England. Her father was a talent manager whose clients included Shirley Bassey, the Beatles and Tom Jones. He was South African as well as Jewish. Her mother was Anglican and was from England. She has two younger siblings, and her older sister, Jackie Collins, was an author with the highest sales, selling 500 million books in her lifetime. She was a student at the all-girls independent Francis Holland School in London. When she was nine years old, she was a part in the play of Henrik Ibsen "A Doll's Home." At the time, she was 16 years older and was studying acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. A year later she was signed by the British film studio Rank Organization. "The Skin of Our Teeth" She was first cast in 1954 as a princess in "The Land of the Pharaohs" and her performance was so spectacular that she was offered a seven-year contract by 21st Century Fox.
